Who We Are
The KZN Doghouse is a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) located in Queensburgh, Durban. Since opening our gates in 2021, we’ve proudly operated as a no-kill animal shelter, dedicated to providing a second chance at life for neglected, abused, and injured dogs.
Every year, we care for hundreds of dogs and puppies, offering them not just food and shelter—but love, rehabilitation, and the hope of a forever home. To date, we’ve assisted over 800 animals in need, thanks to the ongoing support of our compassionate community.
We believe every dog deserves a safe, warm, and loving home. That’s why we work tirelessly to not only help the animals in our care but also to empower pet owners in our surrounding community with affordable access to critical services like vaccinations and sterilizations.
Every life matters. We provide care for each dog until they find their forever family.

Our dedicated volunteers are the heart of our operation—bathing, feeding, and socializing dogs in preparation for adoption.
Our adoption process is simple, compassionate, and focused on finding the perfect match. We require:
All adoptions include sterilization and vaccinations at welfare rates through our local Queensburgh vet. Appointments can be made to visit our shelter and meet the dogs currently up for adoption.
